Gene Rowland was born Nov. 8, 1921 to Orvel and Fay Elsie Brown Rowland. He died Sept. 13, 1944 and is buried in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, Louisville, KY. He was initially buried in Belgium and later returned to the United States.
Sgt. Rowland served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was MIA/FOD/KIA over Rumania.
