Dale Ross of the marine corps told of his promotion from private first class to corporal in a letter to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Ross, 324 Rath street, which they received Thursday. The promotion was received April 29. Corporal Ross has been stationed in the south Pacific for six months, serving as an aerial gunner and radioman.
