Donald Junior “Don” Rich was born Dec. 5, 1923 to Forest Milo and Lillie Naomi Bain Rich. He died May 1, 2013 and is buried in Wayland Methodist Church Cemetery, Wayland, IA.
Donald served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps Co. G, 327th Glider Infantry, 101st Airborne Division. He is co-author, with Kevin Brooks, of the book “Glider Infantryman, Behind the Lines in WWII”. He was a participant in the D-Day invasion of Normandy.
