Donald Francis Rice was born Feb. 20, 1920 to Myron and Lillian Dougherty Rice. He died Apr 22, 1945, and is buried in Saint Rose of Lima Cemetery, Denison, IA.
Flight Officer Rice served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 700th Bomb Squadron, 445th Bomb Group and died over England as the result of an aircraft accident.
