Max Henry Ray was born Apr. 5, 1925 to George Washington and Bertha May Moore Ray. He died May 4, 1945 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 1, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii
Petty Officer Ray served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was MIA/FOD/KIA aboard the USS Morrison (DD-560) when that vessel was sunk by kamikazes. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
