ROBERT ROYS KILLED IN ACTION IN ITALY
Former Student at Upper Iowa University Loses His Life in Overseas Battle Action
Sgt Robert Dale Roys, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mel Roys, Arlington, was killed in action in Italy, Nov. 4, according to word received by his parents from the war department. Besides his father and mother, he is survived by his sister, Elizabeth, at Randalia, brother Bernard, and his two grandfathers, Allen Foster of Arlington and Benjamin Roys of Volga.
Sgt. Roys was a freshman at Upper Iowa University in 1939. He was a member of the national guard and went into active service in February, 1940. A memorial service is to be held at Arlington Methodist church Sunday at 2 p.m.
