Lewis Hamilton Rich was born Aug. 10, 1926 to Clyde Earl and Lucy Hamilton Rich. He died June 25, 2010 and is buried in West Lawn Cemetery, Glidden, IA.
Lewis enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at age 16 and served in the south Pacific during World War II. He was a survivor of Iwo Jima for which he received a Purple Heart.
