James Albert Ray was born Jan. 10, 1919 to Albert and Jessie Blanche Sackett Ray. He died Dec. 19, 1944 and was buried in Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield, IA.
Sgt. Ray was killed in the Battle of the Bulge while serving with the U.S. Army in World War II.
