William L. “Bus” Pollpeter was born Feb. 22, 1922 to William H. and Dora A. Westfall Pollpeter. He died Apr. 25, 1945 and is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fort Madison, IA.
Pvt. Pollpeter served in World War II with the U.S. Army First Armored Division and was KIA in Italy.
