Marshall Lewis Phillips was born Mar. 13, 1920 to Ralph Sebastian and Florence May Moran Phillips. He died June 30, 1942 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, North Africa American Cemetery, Tunis, Tunisia.
Lt. Phillips served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was MIA aboard an airplane which failed to return from a combat mission to Tobruk, North Africa. He was later declared KIA. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.
