Robert Duaine Peterson was born Sept. 17, 1925 to Wilber G. and Ella Hermanson Peterson. He died Sept. 13, 1951 and is buried in Center Lutheran Cemetery, Leland, IA.
2nd Lt. Peterson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He also served in Korea with the 307th Bomb Wing, 372nd Bomb Squadron and was KIA in an aircraft accident.
