IN UNIFORM
Lt. George Z. Peterson, son of George Peterson, 611 ½ Virginia Street, has been awarded the air medal in recognition of courageous service in combat. He was cited for meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight in the southwest Pacific area from March 5 to 15. Lt. Peterson, a navigator on a Liberator, has been stationed in the Philippines one year.
