Robert Shirley Perry was born Oct. 15, 1925 to Shirley L. and Fern C. Barker Perry. He died Jan. 23, 1993 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion, IA.
Sgt. Perry served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and became a tail gunner on a B-17 Flying Fortress with the 8th Air Force heavy bomber group based in England. His campaigns included Northern France, Rhineland and the Ardennes.
