Virgil Dean Parrish was born Jan. 2, 1916 to Earl W. and Grace May Sisson Parrish. He died Jan. 8, 1945 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery and Memorial, Henri-Chapelle, Liege, Belgium.
Sgt. Parrish served in World War II with the U.S. Army 330th Infantry Regiment, 83rd Infantry Division and was KIA in Belgium. He was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
