Richard E. Ostermann was born Jan. 22, 1922 to Herman John and Elta Charlotte May Ostermann. He died June 28, 1944 and is buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Pvt. Ostermann served in World War II in the U.S. Army 5307th Composite Unit in the medical detachment of the 3rd Battalion. He died in India, from typhus, while serving his country.
