Hears Sioux City Radio Station at Post in Jungles
Sitting in the dark in a jungle Private Sidney Osteen, 19, a son of Mrs. Rose Osteen, 1227 17th Street, a few weeks ago heard KSCJ, The Journal Station.
In a letter to relatives here, the young man said that he “let out a whoop” and brought other members of his company.
“That’s from my home town,” explained Private Osteen, a member of the marines. He went overseas December 18.
