Men in Service
Robert E. Olson, son of Mr. and Mrs. F.S. Olson, 3105 Fourth Avenue Place, has been awarded his navy wings and commissioned an ensign in the United States naval reserve at the naval air training center, Corpus Christi, Texas. Ensign Olson received his wings with the designation of a naval aviator. He volunteered for flight training in December, 1941 and received preliminary instruction at the naval reserve air base, Minneapolis. Upon successful completion of this training he was transferred to Corpus Christi for intermediate and advanced training.
