Sylvester John “Whitey” Nolte was born Nov. 28, 1920 to Aloysius Frank and Mary Magdalena Krogman Nolte. He died Dec. 8, 2002 and is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Baileyville, KS.
Whitey served in World War II in the Pacific with the U.S. Army 246th Field Artillery Battalion.
