Donald Luverne Nissen was born Feb. 16, 1918 to Amos L. and Aletta Nelson Nissen. He died Dec. 16, 1944 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, IA.
Sgt. Nissen was KIA in Aachen, Germany while serving with the U.S. Army’s 76th Field Artillery Battalion in World War II.
