Nis Nielsen was born Oct. 7, 1906 to Mr. and Mrs. Jens Nielsen. He died Dec. 14, 1944 and is buried in Epinal American Cemetery, Dinoze, France.
Pvt. Nielsen served in World War II with the U.S. Army 111th Engineer Combat Battalion, 36th Infantry Division and was KIA and awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart.
