IN UNIFORM
Homer D. Newman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross E. Newman, 523 Blair street, has been promoted from sergeant to staff sergeant. He is a tail gunner on a B-17 Flying Fortress and is stationed at Roanoke Rapids, N.C. He entered the army on October 24, 1942.
