Duane Grant Newman was born Feb. 13, 1926 to Raymond Walter and Vernetta Christina Pelley Newman. He died Jan. 22, 1945 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.
Pvt. Newman served in World War II with the U.S. Army 334th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Battalion, 84th Infantry Division and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
