Herschel Lee Neil was born Nov. 4, 1914 to Harry Edward and Elizabeth Eggleston Neil. He died Jan. 31, 1961 and is buried in Fairport Cemetery, Fairport, MO.

Sgt. Neil served in World War II with the U.S. Army 335th Infantry.
