David Dewey Naaktgeboren was born Sept. 10, 1919 to Cornelius and Wilhelmina Simonis Naaktgeboren. He died July 13, 1943 and is buried in Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial, Nettuno, Italy.
Sgt. Naaktgeboren served in World War II with the U.S. Army Co. K, 168th Regiment, 34th Division and died in a German prison camp. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
