Emery LeRoy Morrison was born Oct. 10, 1916 to Guy and Louia Ellen Morrison. He died June 6, 1944, was buried at sea, and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
Petty Officer Morrison served in World War II with the U.S. Navy with Landing Craft Flotilla 31 and was KIA, as the result of enemy action, on the Normandy Beachhead during the invasion of France, He was awarded the Purple Heart.
