Thomas Francis Monaghan was born Nov. 24, 1917 to Joseph Henry and Sarah Catherine Waters Monaghan. He died July 31, 1944 and is buried in Saint Patricks Cemetery, Keokuk, IA.
Pvt. Monaghan served in World War II with the U.S. Army 116th Infantry and died in France while serving his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
