Austin Reed Miller was born Feb. 11, 1921 to Fred J. and Vera McBride Miller. He died Nov. 1, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila America Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and in the Hamburg Cemetery, Hamburg, IA.
Sgt. Miller served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 23rd Bomber Squadron, 5th Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/FOD/KIA and was awarded the Purple Heart.
