Virgil S. Masterson was born about 1915 to Waldo R. and Alta E. Miller Masterson. He died Nov. 6, 1944 and is buried in Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy.
Pvt. Masterson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 34th Reconnaissance Troop, 34th Infantry Division and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
