Mike Martin, Sr. was born Sept. 23, 1921 to Frank C. and Carrie Brown Martin. He died Mar. 5, 2006 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Muscatine, IA.
Sgt. Martin served with the U.S. Army in World War II in Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe as a squad leader, Co. H, 414th Infantry Regiment, earning the Silver Star, Good Conduct Medal and EAMET Ribbon.
