Richard John Morgan was born Nov. 1, 1917 to George and Gertrude Morgan. He died May 28, 1944 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Waterloo, IA.
Sgt. Morgan served in World War II with the 168th Infantry, 34th Division in North Africa and Italy and was KIA in the drive on Rome. At the time of his death he was serving as a messenger with his unit.
