Ivan W. Mickael was born June 25, 1909 to Leroy Bell and Lizzie Wilson Mickael. He died Oct. 25, 1944 and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, IA. He was initially buried in a USAF cemetery in Manila, Philippines.
Pvt. Mickael served in World War II with the U.S, Army 323rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, 81st Infantry Division and was KIA on Peleliu Island, Palau Islands.
