James Chauncey “Jim” Merwin was born Feb. 9, 1924 to Rev. Chauncey and Alice Eyestone Merwin. He died June 15, 2014 and is buried in Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake, IA.
James served in World War II with the U.S. Army for 25 months with Headquarters Company Port of Debarkation and Headquarters Company Base Section, India Burma Theater. He was in charge of a mail section which handled official and personal mail for the headquarters.
