Robert Donald Rose McMurphy was born Sept. 17, 1909 to H. L. and Lola Rose McMurphy. He died Mar. 1, 1945 and is buried in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.
Sgt. McMurphy served in World War II with the U.S. Army 81st Quartermaster Co., 81st Infantry Division and died in New Caledonia while in the service of his country.
