Men and Women In Service.
Robert J. Schneiders, 20, on duty in the south pacific, has been promoted to yeoman third class. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Schneiders, 1421 W. Palmer Avenue. His friend, Jack Newton, formerly of Sioux City, has been promoted to radio technician second class. They recently enjoyed a visit with Jim McLaughlin, now in the navy, a former employe of The Journal.
