Holstein, Iowa – Charles E. McDermott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. McDermott, was graduated from West Texas bombardier school as a flight officer. He was an athletic coach at the time of his enlistment.

Charles Everett McDermott was born June 20, 1920 to Harold E. and Rega C. McNeil McDermott. He died Aug. 31, 1993 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Wayne, NE.
Charles served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
