Elmer T. McClain was born June 14, 1920 to Edward and Margaret Williams McClain. He died Mar. 14, 1944 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Clinton, IA.
Pvt. McClain served in World War II with the U.S. Army 12th Cavalry. He died of wounds received in action in the Admiralty Islands.
