Mapleton Men With the Armed Forces
Junior H. McBride, son of Mr. & Mrs. H. McBride of Route 1, Mapleton, was the leader of a group of 19 Madison County, Nebraska, young men who left recently for the Army Induction center at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, from where they will be assigned to active duty. The McBrides lived in Nebraska before moving to Mapleton recently.

Junior Leroy McBride was born Apr. 18, 1925 to Clifford and Eva Frances Goddard McBride. He died Oct. 21, 2016 and is buried in Westview Cemetery, La Porte City, IA
Junior served in World War II with the U.S. Army.
