Charles Maring, Jr. was born Oct. 18, 1921 to Charles E. (Sr.) and Ruth M. Copeland Maring. He died Sept. 28, 1944 and is buried in Pleasant Township Cemetery, Poweshiek Co., IA.
Lt. Maring served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps, 388th Bomb Group, 563rd Bomb Squadron and was KIA in Germany.
