Sioux City Sergeant Heard Here In Radio Show At Hollywood
Sgt. Arthur Magel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Magel, 315 W. 16th Street, was one of several service men participating in a radio show, Darts for Dough, broadcast Sunday afternoon from Hollywood over the Blue Network and heard here over KSCJ.
The show is based on ability with pointed darts, which are earned by first answering questions. Though he missed his question, the young Sioux City soldier proved himself skillful with the feathered pins and collected a total of $16.
A native of Sioux City, Sgt. Magel is married and has one child. His wife, the former Irene Glade of Ocheyedan, Iowa, resides in Ocheyedan. He also has two brothers in the service. Leo Magel is stationed overseas and Bill Magel is stationed at McCook, Nebraska.
