Listed Missing
Sgt. Norman J. MacLeod, 25, has been missing in action over Germany since November 25, his mother, Mrs. Bertha W. MacLeod, 1514 Summit Street, has been informed by a telegram from the war department.
A radio gunner, Sgt. MacLeod served on a B-17 Flying Fortress, and has been overseas since the middle of October. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John F. MacLeod, 1514 Summit Street.

Sergeant Missing Since November Is Now Liberated
Mrs. Bertha MacLeod has received the news that her son, S/Sgt. Norman MacLeod, 25, missing since November 25, 1944, had been liberated by the Third army at Moosburg.
Sgt. MacLeod, a radio-gunner on a B-17, suffered shoulder wounds when his plane was shot down over Germany, but is fine now. He informed his mother that he will go to England and then will be home for a 30-day furlough with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John F. MacLeod, 1514 Summit street.
Sgt. McLeod was graduated from Trinity. He attended the University of Pittsburgh at the time he enlisted in the service June 6, 1943. There he stayed with an aunt, Mrs. L. W. Nesta.
