News About Men in Service From Over Northeast Iowa
Traer—Ensign Russell Lyon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lyon, southwest of Traer, who has been taking a course in aircraft identification during the past several months at Ohio State University at Columbus, has been transferred to Berkley, Cal., where he is to be an instructor.

Robert Russell “Russell” Lyon was born Oct. 26, 1918 to Robert and Adeline Lenore Hill Lyon. He died Dec. 19, 2009 and is buried in Crystal Township Cemetery, Garwin, IA.
