Vernon L. Lundquist, aviation fire control man second class is home on a 20-day leave visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Lundquist, 1405 Omaha Street, and will report at Minneapolis October 25, for discharge. He wears the Distinguished Flying Cross, seven air medals and two battle stars for Okinawa and the bombing on the Japanese mainland. His fiancée, Miss Irene Eberhardt of Wichita, Kansas is visiting here. The couple will be married Thursday evening.

Vernon L. Lundquist, aviation fire controlman, second class, navy reserve, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie L Lundquist, 1405 Omaha Street, served with fleet air wing 18, which flew combat patrols from Iwo Jima and Tinian.
