Louis Larkin Lovelace was born Dec. 24, 1914 to Louis Larkin and Mary L. Wilson Lovelace.
He died Mar. 26, 2004 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Sgt. Lovelace served with the U.S. Army in World War II with the 133rd Infantry, 34th Red Bull Division in Italy, North Africa and Anzio Beach. He received a bronze star for the Naples-Loggia campaign.

Louis L. Lovelace, 89, of Webster City, died Friday, March 26, 2004 at Crestview Senior Living. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral Home, with Rev. Gerald Caquelin officiating. Burial was in the Graceland Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #191.
Louis Larkin Lovelace, son of Louis and Mary Wilson Lovelace was born December 24, 1914 at Webster City. He received his education in the Webster City Schools. He worked at various farms in the Webster City/Woolstock area. He served with the U.S. Army - 133rd Infantry - 34th Red Bull Division in Italy, North Africa and Anzio Beach earning a bronze star for the Naples-Foggia Campaign. On May 12, 1945, he married Loretta Agnes Healey at Fort Benning, Ga. Following his discharge, the couple moved to Webster City, where he worked at Electrolux for 27 years. He worked for the county and city parks departments for 10 years, retiring in 1973. He continued to work at the Webster City parks department parttime for several years. Loretta Lovelace died January 23, 1990. On May 21, 1990 he married Blanche Mourlam at Elk Point, S D. The couple resided at Webster City. He moved to Crestview in June of 2003.
Mr. Lovelace is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Louis and Sandy Lovelace, Craig and Cindy Lovelace, all of Webster City, Larry and Sharon Lovelace of Clutier; Tom and Deb Lovelace of Decatur, Il., Dave Lovelace of Puyallup, Wa., daughters and son-in-law , Linda Wearda of Traer; Patricia and Mike Brower of Maryland Heights, Mo., stepdaughter, Norma Klaver of Apache Junction, Az., 16 grandchildren, 2 step-granddaughters, 12 great-grandchildren, a step-great-grandson, half brother, Gilbert Butler of Webster City, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by infant children, Florence and Mark Lovelace, his parents, brothers, Cecil and Chester Lovelace, sister, Arlette Williams.
He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #191 and VFW, a lifetime member.
