Donald Lovelace, 72, Webster City, died Monday, March 15, 1999 at the Hamilton Hospital in Webster City. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City with Rev. John Grebner officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral Home and prior to the services at the church.
Donald Lyle Lovelace, son of Cecil and Thelma Downs Lovelace, was born May 17, 1926 in Webster City. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1944. He was employed at the U.S. Post Office in Webster City for 35 years retiring in 1982. On Feb. 18, 1949, he married Irene J. Eggen at Randall. He was a life-long resident of Webster City.
Survivors are his wife, Irene, daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Randy Pozniak of International Falls, MN, Lorri and Randy Johnson of Webster City, two brothers, Arnold Lovelace of Webster City and Jerry Lovelace of Cape Coral, FL, six grandchildren, Matt, Lindsay and Jake Johnson, Angela Lavigne, Brandon Biggs and John Pozniak, one great-granddaughter, Madeline Lavigne.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Arlette Paris and Peggy Knutson, and one brother, Jack Lovelace.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
