John William Lincoln was born Feb. 23, 1922 to Abraham William “Abe” and Lois Hoebel Lincoln. He died Dec. 7, 1941 and has a cenotaph at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Blairstown, IA. He is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing at Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Petty Officer Lincoln was KIA while serving aboard the USS Arizona (BB-39), Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
