James J. Ley was born July 30, 1922 to William E. and Lucille Florence Wheeler Ley. He died Feb. 29, 1944 and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, Lakota, IA.
Sgt. Ley served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 451st Bomb Squadron and died over France while in the service of his country.
