Jay Myron Lewis was born July 23, 1911 to Carl John and Marie Engelsherd Lewis. He died May 24, 1984 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion, IA.
Sgt. Lewis served with the U.S. Army in World War II with the 804th Tank Destroyer Battalion of the 5th Army. He was awarded three Bronze Stars.
