Urban B. Lentsch was born Aug. 4, 1914 to Andrew and Anna Susan Riis Lentsch. He died June 6, 1944 and is buried in Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
Cpl. Lentsch served in World War II with the U.S. Army 7th Field Artillery Battalion, 1st Infantry Division and was KIA (June 6, 1944) when his unit fought on Omaha Beach. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
