MEN IN SERVICE.
Private Donald L. Lawrenson of Camp Robinson, Arkansas, arrived here Tuesday for a short furlough. He will report back to camp Saturday and will be transferred from there to a Texas school for preflight training as an aviation cadet. His wife lives at 2523 E. First Street and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Lawrenson at 107 N. Helen Street.

Men & Women In Service
Donald Lawrenson, 2523 First Street and Marvin K. Shulenberber, 1201 18th Street, have completed training from the central flying command and have received pilot’s wings and commissions as second lieutenants. Lieut. Lawrenson completed his training at Ellington Field, Texas and Lieut. Shulenberger finished at Backland field, Walco, Texas.

Lieut. Don. Lawrenson Reported To Be Unhurt in Wreck
Lieut. Donald L. Lawrenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Lawrenson, 107 Helen Street, was aboard the Dixie Flyer when it collided Thursday with another Railroad passenger train near Terre Haute, Ind. He was uninjured.
Lieut. Lawrenson, who recently returned to the States after spending several months in Italy as a pilot on a B-17 Flying Fortress, was enroute to Miami Beach, Florida to a redistribution center.
He has received the air medal with several oak leaf clusters and the bomb group to which he was attached was awarded a president citation.
His wife Virginia and 4-month old daughter Donna Lee live at 2266 Helen Street.

Lieut. Donald Lawrenson, who is home on leave, is transferring from Miami, Fla., to Roswell, Nebraska. He will depart Saturday for Roswell, accompanied by his wife and daughter, Donna Lee. Mrs. Lawrence is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Nagel, 226 Helen Street, and Lieut. Lawrenson is a son of Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Lawrenson, 107 Helen Street.

IN UNIFORM
First Lt. Donald L. Lawrenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph C. Lawrenson, 107 Helen street, is stationed at the army air forces instructors school for instrument pilots as a flying instructor, Lubbock, Tex., army air field. A graduate of East high school, Lt. Lawrenson was employed in the office of Swift & Co. before entering flight training. He received his pilot wings in August, 1943, and trained at Pyote, Tex., and Alexander, La., before being sent overseas, where he was on duty from December, 1943, to August, 1944. He flew 51 combat missions, for which he has been awarded the air medal with five oak leaf clusters. He also wears the European theater ribbon with four bronze battle stars.
