Vernon Edward Laschanzky, Jr. was born Dec. 4, 1915 to Vernon Edward (Sr.) and Madeline Frances McAllister Laschanzky. He died June 15, 1943 and is buried in Saint Pauls Cemetery, Wheatland, IA.
Lt. Laschanzky served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and died in an airplane crash near Almogordo, New Mexico while in the service of his country.
